The Licensed Nail Technician is responsible for providing Plymouth Harbor residents with high-quality manicures, pedicures, and nail treatments.

Part time/ Flexable -Monday through Friday, flexible schedule

D UTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome/greet resident clients.
  • Provide high-quality manicures and pedicures which includes removing old nail polish from fingernails and toenails, cleaning nails, shaping the ends of nails, pushing back cuticles, and applying new polish based on clients’ preferences.
  • Apply artificial nails, if requested.
  • Recommend various nail designs and nail art to clients.
  • Evaluate the condition of clients’ nails and advise them on proper nail care and suitable nail care treatments.
  • Provide quality hand and foot massages.
  • Sanitize all nail instruments and equipment before each use.
  • Ensure that workstations are kept clean and orderly.
  • Ensure that nail and massage supplies are adequately stocked; order new nail supplies, as needed.
  • Answer resident clients’ nail-related questions.
  • Build and maintain relationships to encourage repeat appointments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Proven experience working as a Licensed Nail Technician.
  • 5 years' experience with all types of nails services
  • Preferred experience working with elderly population

General:

  • In-depth knowledge of manicure and pedicure techniques.
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Must be a detail-oriented person and able to perform duties with great accuracy on a daily basis.
  • Must have excellent personal skills, demonstrating the ability to conduct oneself in a non-controversial style; a style that inspires the respect of others and promotes a sense of trust in the individual’s competence.
  • Must have good communication skills, speaking, writing, and listening.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs with emphasis on Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word, with the ability to learn and use proprietary software as required.
