Job description

St. Lucy School is seeking a part-time music teacher for the 2025-26 school year. St. Lucy School is located in Campbell, serving 230 students in grades K–8.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (and other duties as assigned):
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement curriculum, instruction, and assessments aligned with the designated standards and research-based practices.
  2. Utilize assessment data to implement responsive instructional interventions to support the learning of every student.
  3. Model and support a faith-filled Catholic environment in both words and actions.
  4. Maintain strong classroom management skills in accordance with the school’s philosophy and classroom rules to support a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.
  5. Meet the academic and socio-emotional needs of diverse learners, approaching students from an asset perspective.
  6. Implement school-wide systems as outlined by the school administration.
  7. Engage in all scheduled collaborative and professional learning sessions.
  8. Collaborate with school staff and communicate regularly with parents.
  9. Cover assigned staff duties, including recess supervision, and other duties as assigned by the school administration.
  10. Maintain confidentiality over student and institutional information.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Act as a role model of professionalism in a Catholic environment.
  2. Support the school’s philosophy, policies, and goals, and adhere to all policies outlined in the parent/student and employee handbooks.
  3. Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all students.
  4. Work as part of a team and attend all required meetings.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Valid CA teaching credential preferred.
  • Master’s degree in an educational field preferred.
  • Experience in Catholic education preferred.

Physical Demands:

Salary Range:

$65,000.00 – $103,000.00 per year, based on education and experience.
