Clearcreek ElementarySUMMARY: Under general supervision, provides daily instruction to assigned students; prepares daily lesson plans;
supervises participation in curricular, co-curricular, and related activities. Reports to the building principal.
DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:1. Writes, arranges and directs music for various programs.
2. Skill in: various musical instruments
3. Arranges and or assists with elementary/secondary music programs as assigned. Provides instruction to assigned
students utilizing teaching strategies and techniques and motivational techniques to present planned daily
lessons.
4. Prepares daily lesson plans which incorporate textbook materials, supplemental instructional materials, audio and
visual aids, critical thinking skills, courses of study, etc.
5. Supervises and disciplines students (e.g., classroom, hallways, restrooms, lunchroom, assemblies, bus duty, etc.)
following the student discipline code.
6. Evaluates students through the utilization of teacher made tests, standardized tests and observations (e.g.,
academic, social, personal, motor, PPO's, etc.).
7. Follows and utilizes Individual Educational Plans for those students identified and assigned for instruction.
8. Performs required supplemental duties (e.g., takes attendance, grade card reporting, interim reports, state
reports, book orders, supply orders, emergency medical forms, insurance forms, fee collections, student's
cumulative folder, bulletin boards, etc.).
9. Schedules and confers with parents periodically.
10. Confers with school personnel (e.g., principal, teachers, counselor, psychologist, supervisors, etc.).
11. Provides intervention for those students who have been identified as requiring additional academic instruction.
12. Inventories assigned facility areas and provides inventory data to the Building Principal's office.
13. Participates in, cooperates with and helps supervise emergency preparedness drills (e.g., tornado, fire, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor's or advanced degree
• Valid Ohio teaching license/certificate with proper certification for grade level / concentration
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Hours: 3.83 hours per day/ 185 day contract
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:• Effective Date: 2025-2026 School Year
• Length of Employment: One Year Limited Contract
• Salary and Fringe Benefits: Based on the current negotiated agreement.
