Qualifications

• 1 year of experience speaking a second language.
• Native or near-native command of English and a second language, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and social context.
• Well-developed interpretation skills.
• High level of understanding of gospel terminology and usage, including “Preach My Gospel”.
• There may be physical requirements such as sitting for long periods and using monitors/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interprets for up to 25+ different meetings that missionaries experience at the MTC.
• Translates for assigned projects as determined by manager.
• Participates in team training meetings.
• Supports an environment of harmony, trust, and goodwill within the department and the MTC.
• May include other temporary duties at the MTC (e.g. assisting with Mission Leadership Seminar).
