Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking an MRI Technologist (Part-Time) to perform magnetic resonance studies with a focus on patient comfort and high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities include operating Siemens and GE MR scanners, preparing patients, administering contrast under radiologist supervision, screening for contraindications, and ensuring accurate documentation. A relevant MRI program and ARRT/ARMR/NMTCB certification paths are required with opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• Trade school or college based training required (i.e. Hospital based program, Associate or Bachelor Degree program)
• Must be registered as MR Technologist with ARRT, ARMIT, or CAMRT. OR
• Must be ARRT registered and obtain MRI board certification within 18 months of hire. OR
• Must hold an associate or bachelor's degree in an allied health field and be certified through ARDMS or NMTCB, with MRI board certification required within 18 months of hire. OR
• Graduate of an accredited MRI program with a minimum of 6 months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience. Must be registry-eligible through ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB and must obtain MRI board certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform Magnetic Resonance studies with emphasis on quality patient care.
• Provide patient/family instructions and explanations of imaging procedures.
• Prepare, administer, and document contrast media under radiologist supervision.
• Screen patients for contraindications.
• Operate hospital computer systems for data entry and order completion.
• Train new personnel, students and physicians as needed.
• Maintain flexibility to work on-call and variable schedules.
