Penn State's Materials Research Institute (MRI) is seeking a part-time IT User Support Specialist to provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students in the materials research environment.
IT User Support positions perform analytical, technical, and administrative work in support of computer devices and workstations; diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer-reported incidents; install new hardware and software; maintain existing components; train end users in the use of equipment and software; perform general maintenance tasks; and support Conference room AV.
Work effectively on challenging tasks independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn new skills and technologies, manage multiple priorities with attention to detail, and communicate well with both technical and non-technical audiences.
