Part-Time MRI CT Tech Assistant - Natrona Heights

Join us as a Part-Time MRI CT Tech Assistant at UPMC.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist staff technologists and departmental staff in providing MRI and CT services, supporting patient care and safety.
  2. Meet patients, assist with paperwork, answer scheduling and patient history questions, and escort patients to dressing areas.
  3. Conduct MRI screening to ensure safety, assist with patient transfers, establish IV access, and prepare oral contrast under technologist’s guidance.
  4. Properly position patients and equipment for imaging, monitor telemetry if applicable, and provide patient discharge instructions.
  5. Report equipment issues, assist with QC testing, transport patients, and clean exam rooms following protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of healthcare experience.
  • Preferred: knowledge of medical terminology, recent medical/imaging office experience, IV insertion skills.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • CPR certification (AHA standards) within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR.
  • Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73 FBI Clearance.
