• $2,500 Sign On Bonus*

Hours Scheduled: Monday-Wednesday 6:30am-3:30pm

Mohs Histology Experience Required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain dilutions and stains
• Map and chromacode tissue specimens according to Mohs technique and CLIA guidelines
• Cut horizontal frozen sections and vertical sections as dictated
• Prepare microscopic slides for surgeon evaluation
• Dispose of tissue following tissue disposal protocols
• Maintain quality control on all slides processed and monitor ongoing QC studies
• Enter Mohs map data accurately into the database daily
• Label, file, and store Mohs slides appropriately
• Submit slides and tissue specimens for diagnosis confirmation
• Keep detailed records of slide locations
• Order and return slides to external labs or offices
• Manage pathology reports and slides for internal and external consultations
• Create and maintain accurate records and logs for quality assurance
• Monitor inventory levels and organize lab supplies and equipment
• Operate and perform maintenance on laboratory and surgical equipment, including cryostat
• Maintain cryostat according to OSHA standards
• Interact with patients supportively and cheerfully
• Provide emergency assistance as needed
• Maintain documentation as per CLIA guidelines
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Uphold company standards and compliance policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent under CLIA guidelines for high complexity testing
• Minimum of 3 years experience performing Mohs surgery
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
