Job summary

Diagnostic-Laboratories- seeks a Mobile Phlebotomist to perform clinical pre-analytical services at client sites, primarily nursing facilities, on a part-time schedule. Under supervision of Phlebotomy Supervisor, you will complete routes safely and timely.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, labeling, processing, and delivery; maintaining records; and adhering to universal precautions. Requires valid state phlebotomy license, valid driver's license, and ability to work flexible

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid State phlebotomy license (if required).
• Must have a current, valid State Driver's license; car insurance; good driving record; a vehicle in good working condition.
• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using both vacutainer and syringe techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication and interaction with pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Must maintain attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Drives to client facilities, unloads tray, and collects samples as directed.
• Identifies patients before collecting specimens.
• Preserves specimens, labels, processes, and delivers to the lab.
• Keeps work area clean and follows universal precautions.
• Maintains time records and reports status to dispatcher.
• Adheres to safety policies and reports unsafe conditions.
• Monitors supplies and reports low stock.
• On-call evenings and weekends as needed.
