Job summary

Socket.dev is hiring a Mitigation Technician Assistant in Houston, TX for a part-time role (less than 30 hours per week). You will support the Mitigation Technician in assessing damaged properties, remove and replace damaged materials, and assist in sanitizing restored sites while following safety procedures.

Ideal candidates are physically capable, understand PPE usage, and can follow instructions. Training and opportunities to advance in IICRC-aligned tasks are provided as part of ongoing

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of general work experience.
• The ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s license in good standing without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mitigation Technician in assessing damaged areas and determining the scope of work.
• Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment and moisture monitoring devices.
• Perform extraction, debris removal, cleaning, sanitizing, and contents handling.
• Document job progress with photos, readings, sketches, and notes using company systems.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding status and expectations.
• Follow all safety procedures including PPE usage and hazard communication.
• Travel to customer locations and respond to emergency service calls as needed.
