Simply Ed LLC is seeking a part-time Middle School Math Teacher’s Assistant for New Pathways Academy in the Bronx. The role runs Oct 19, 2026 – Dec 18, 2026, Mon-Fri 8:45 AM – 3:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break.

You’ll support Grade 8 math and Algebra, and assist with Grades 6–7 during the school day. The position emphasizes classroom and homework support, collaboration with teachers, and helping students strengthen mathematical reasoning and confidence.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with adolescents preferred; training provided.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide push-in classroom support during Grade 8 math instruction, focusing on Algebra.
• Offer additional push-in support in Grades 6 and 7 as scheduled.
• Collaborate with teachers to provide targeted academic support aligned with instruction.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
• Reinforce algebraic reasoning and mathematical vocabulary during lessons.
• Assist with homework support from 2:15 PM to 3:30 PM daily.
• Help manage classroom routines and monitor student progress.
