Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking a part-time meteorologist to forecast, produce and present engaging weather segments. You will issue warnings, create graphics, and report live during severe weather events.

The role requires strong writing, digital savviness, and a willingness to work with producers to tailor weather content for breaking and daily coverage. A dynamic, energetic presence and solid social media skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous on-air weather presenting experience preferred.
• Strong writing and digital storytelling skills.
• Knowledge of The Weather Company (WSI) for graphics.
• Ability to create distinctive weather graphics.
• Energetic, engaging on-air presence.
• Willingness to respond to severe weather off duty.
• Team-oriented; supports station-wide coverage.
• Proven track record of covering severe weather on-air and online.
• Proven strong social media engagement.

• Previous on‑air experience presenting weather and news information is preferred.
• Extensive digital savvy, excellent writing skills.
• Previous experience preferred with The Weather Company (WSI).
• Thorough knowledge of how to maximize The Weather Company (WSI) to create distinctive graphics presentations.
• High energy and engaging personality.
• Willingness to come in off duty when severe weather threatens our area.
• Team player who understands it is about the team, not one individual.
• Proven track record of covering severe weather on‑air and on digital.
• Proof of strong social media engagement.
