Job summary

American Greetings is seeking a Part-Time Merchandiser to service multiple retail locations in the Austin/West Lake Hills area. You will display and maintain inventory for greeting cards, gift wrap, and party goods, using a company tablet for scheduling and updates.

Starting pay is $14.40 per hour with increases to $15.20 after 6 months and $16.00 after 1 year. Flexible scheduling and paid training are provided, plus 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Access to reliable transportation as most routes have multiple locations.
• Access to reliable internet to receive critical job information and updates.
• Technological competency—able to learn and use company provided tablet for training and daily activity/tasks.
• Meet scheduling needs including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying product within greeting card departments and other retail locations.
• Communicate with management any questions or concerns regarding service or schedules.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment utilizing time management and organizational skills.
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime retail business hours.
• Availability for additional working days and extended hours around major holidays.
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets including fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal.
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload in your stores using a company-issued tablet.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
