As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you are a vital part of our company’s purpose: helping people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life’s special moments, by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place every single day. We are looking for merchandisers to work independently across various retail locations, showcasing their organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations product, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.

Pay:

• The starting pay is $12.60 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment (the listed rates are subject to change based on work location).
• After 6 months of employment, the pay rate will increase to $13.30.
• After 1 year of continued employment, the pay rate will increase to $14.00.

Route and Schedule:

This route will service the following retail locations at: 335 S Red Bank Rd, Evansville, IN, 47712; 3101 Mount Vernon Ave; 4224 E Booneville New Harmony Rd; 11929 Deer Run Rd; 413 S Barker Ave; 432 Southwind Plz, Mount Vernon, IN; 533 W 4Th St, Mount Vernon, IN; and 233 N St Francis St, Poseyville, IN.

The weekly average hours are 11 hours per week, which may increase to around 17 hours per week during holidays.

Ideal Candidate: Available during daytime hours, especially Monday mornings, due to store needs and service.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising, organizing product orders, displaying products within greeting card departments and other retail locations, maintaining organized backroom areas, and other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management regarding service or schedules.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment, utilizing effective time management and organizational skills.
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime retail hours.
• Availability for additional working days and extended hours around major holidays.
• Assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal.
• Review and plan weekly service schedules and workload using a company-issued tablet.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Experience: No experience necessary; training provided.

Qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Reliable transportation for multiple retail locations
• Reliable internet access for job updates
• Technological skills to learn and use a company-provided tablet
• Flexibility to meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and holidays

Physical Demands:

Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 40 pounds; stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday. Use of a stepstool may be required. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
