As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you are a vital part of our company's purpose: helping people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life's special moments, by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place every single day. We are looking for merchandisers to work independently across various retail locations, showcasing their organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations product, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.

Pay:

• The starting pay is $11.70 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment (the listed rates are subject to change based on work location).
• After 6 months of employment, the pay rate will increase to $12.40.
• After 1 year of continued employment, the pay rate will increase to $13.00.

Route and Schedule:

This route will service the following retail locations at: 545 Island Ford Rd, Madisonville, KY, 42431; 559 Whittington Drive; 6330 Nortonville Rd, Saint Charles, KY; 218 N Hopkinsville Rd, Nortonville, KY; 318 W Greenville Road, White Plains, KY; 115 S Hopkinsville Rd, Mortons Gap, KY; and 114 N Lee Trover Todd Jr Hwy, Earlington, KY.

The weekly average hours are 6 hours per week, with potential increases to 12 hours around holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising, organizing product orders, displaying products within greeting card departments and other retail locations, maintaining organized backroom areas, and other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management regarding service or schedule questions or concerns.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment, utilizing effective time management and organizational skills.
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime retail hours.
• Be available for additional working days and extended hours during major holidays.
• Assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
• Review and plan weekly service schedules and workload using a company-issued tablet.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Experience Required:

No experience necessary! Training provided.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reliable transportation for multiple retail locations.
• Reliable internet access for receiving critical job information and updates.
• Technological competency to learn and use a company-provided tablet.
• Availability to meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and days before and after major holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).

Physical Demands:

Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures of up to 40 pounds throughout the sales floor and backrooms. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday. Use of a stepstool may be required.
