As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you are a vital part of our company’s purpose: helping people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life’s special moments, by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place every single day. We are looking for merchandisers to work independently across various retail locations, showcasing their organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations products, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.

Pay:

  • The starting pay is $14.40 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment (rates are subject to change based on work location).
  • After 6 months, the pay rate will increase to $15.20.
  • After 1 year of continued employment, the pay rate will increase to $16.00.
  • We offer flexible work scheduling.
  • Paid training is provided.
  • 401(k) with company match.

Route and Schedule:

This route services retail locations at 1560 Main St, Hamilton, OH, 45013, and 887 Nw Washington Blvd.

The weekly average hours are 5 hours, which may increase to 10 hours around holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising, organizing product orders, displaying products within greeting card departments, maintaining backroom areas, and other inventory tasks.
  • Communicate with management regarding service or schedule concerns.
  • Work in a fast-paced retail environment, utilizing effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime hours.
  • Be available for additional days and extended hours before and after major holidays.
  • Assist with store resets, including fixture work, product assembly, and relocation as needed.
  • Plan your weekly service schedule using a company-issued tablet.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.

Experience Required:

No experience necessary; training provided.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Reliable transportation for multiple retail locations.
  • Access to reliable internet for receiving job information and updates.
  • Technological competency to learn and use a company-provided tablet.
  • Availability for occasional weekends and days around major holidays.

Physical Demands:

Work involves standing, walking, stooping, squatting, and lifting cartons or fixtures up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
