We are Coke Florida seeking a Merchandiser to work the afternoon shift (2:00 pm–8:00 pm, Thursday–Sunday) at our Gainesville location.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain product displays and equipment placements in compliance with company standards.
- Maintain appropriate product inventory levels in beverage sections and throughout accounts, including shelf allocation and cold equipment.
- Manage back‑stock inventory levels and trade breakage in assigned accounts.
- Meet customer service expectations through daily communication, problem resolution, and appropriate follow‑up.
- Maintain professional relationships with co‑workers, customers, and shoppers.
- Ensure account meets company merchandising standards, properly faceting and spinning product per applicable standards.
- Conduct store surveys.
- Communicate account activities, including equipment service needs, to appropriate parties.
- Rotate products each time in designated accounts while maintaining merchandising standards.
- Organize backroom inventory in an ordered manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, sales floor, and shelves.
- Transport, replace, and maintain point‑of‑sale advertising as appropriate for account.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance; work overtime as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Identify and report unsafe working conditions.
- Adhere to dress code and appearance/grooming standards.
- Work shifts and schedules as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States.
- Personal vehicle required for use during employee working hours.
- Proficient computer application skills.
- Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift product; certification as required.
- Valid driver’s license and current vehicle liability insurance.
- Clean driving record with no major moving violations in the last three (3) years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree, 1–2 year college, or university degree.
- At least 1 year of prior sales/merchandising experience.
- Strong attention to detail, follow‑up, planning, and organization skills.
- Ability to use and understand mobile applications.
- Experience working under minimal or no supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Repetitively lift, carry, or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Repetitively push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds while kneeling, squatting, or reaching at various heights.
- Operate manual transport equipment (e.g., pallet jack or hand truck) with product loads up to at least 100 yards without assistance.
- Repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination.
- Exert physically over sustained periods to complete job activities.
- Read information in small, medium, or large print.
- Stand for a minimum of 8 hours during the workday, up to 10 hours.
- Walk for a minimum of 4 hours during the workday.
- Frequently work in a hot/humid indoor environment.
