As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you are a vital part of our company’s purpose: helping people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life’s special moments, by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place every single day. We are looking for merchandisers to work independently across various retail locations, showcasing their organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations product, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.

Pay:

• The starting pay is $13.10 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment (the listed rates are subject to change based on work location).
• After 6 months of employment, the pay rate will increase to $13.80.
• After 1 year of continued employment, the pay rate will increase to $14.50.

Route and Schedule:

This route will service the following retail locations: 970 N Morton St, Franklin, IN, 46131; 2200 Independence Dr, Greenwood, IN; 235 N US Highway 31, New Whiteland, IN; 3060 National Rd, Columbus, IN; and 1865 N National Rd, Columbus, IN.

The weekly average hours are 6 hours per week, which may increase to an average of 12 hours per week around holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising, organizing product orders, displaying products within greeting card departments and other retail locations, maintaining organized backroom areas, and other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management regarding any questions or concerns about service or schedules.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment, utilizing effective time management and organizational skills.
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime retail hours.
• Availability for additional working days and extended hours before and after major holidays.
• Assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
• Review and plan weekly service schedules and workloads using a company-issued tablet.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience Required:

No experience necessary; training will be provided.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Reliable transportation for multiple retail locations.
• Reliable internet access for receiving critical job information and updates.
• Technological competency to learn and use company-provided tablet for training and tasks.
• Flexibility to meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and days around major holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).

Physical Demands:

Work involves standing, walking, stooping, and squatting throughout the workday. Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures of up to 40 pounds. Use of a stepstool may be required. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
