As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you are a vital part of our purpose: helping people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life's special moments by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place every day. We are seeking merchandisers to work independently across various retail locations, showcasing organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory of our celebration products, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.

Pay:
  • The starting pay is $13.10 per hour, with two increases during the first year (rates subject to change based on location).
  • After 6 months, pay increases to $13.80.
  • After 1 year, pay increases to $14.50.
  • Flexible work scheduling and paid training are provided.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.

The average weekly hours are 14, increasing to about 24 hours during holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising, organizing product orders, displaying products, maintaining backroom areas, and other inventory tasks.
  • Communicate with management regarding service or schedule concerns.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment, utilizing effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Build relationships with store associates and management during daytime hours.
  • Be available for additional days and extended hours during major holidays.
  • Assist with store resets, fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as needed.
  • Review and plan weekly service schedules using a company-issued tablet.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
Experience Required:

No experience necessary; training provided.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without accommodations.
  • Reliable transportation to access multiple retail locations.
  • Reliable internet for receiving updates and information.
  • Technological competency to learn and use a company-provided tablet.
  • Availability for occasional weekends and holiday work.
Physical Demands:

Work involves standing, walking, stooping, and squatting; lifting and moving cartons and fixtures up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
