Job summary

Andrews Distributing in the Dallas area is seeking a Part Time Merchandiser to stock shelves, build displays, and provide excellent service to our retail clients. You’ll be stocking beer and related products, with weekend shifts starting early.

Work Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00am, with an additional weekday option. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, weekly pay, Nike branded uniforms, and year-round beer access for team members.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Must have a current Texas driver license (for Dallas/Mesquite area).
• Previous Distribution/CPG experience and beer industry exposure are pluses.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and backroom areas with fresh products and rotate stock.
• Build displays and place signage to highlight products.
• Ensure pricing and visibility of Andrews SKUs meet company standards.
• Provide excellent service to retail clients and maintain store presentation.
• Keep inventory areas clean and organized; report breakage to manager.
• Understand this list is not exhaustive and other merchandising tasks may be required.

Now that you know about the hours and the pay, let’s talk about the job itself.

A Part Time Merchandiser is responsible for stocking the store shelves and cold boxes/coolers with fresh products, building displays to draw attention to our products, and providing exceptional service to our retail clients.

Bottom line… You’ll be stocking/merchandising BEER!! You get to be out and about traveling to different stores, and every day is a little different.

Here’s more of what you will do… (Okay, not all in one day!)

• Maintains fresh products by stocking and rotating, organizing, and refilling back stocks, cold boxes/coolers, shelves, beer caves and displays
• Ensures service levels and compliance rates for each assigned account are met or exceeded.
• Builds displays and executes placement of signage and other merchandising items.
• Ensures all Andrews SKUs are priced appropriately and meet standards of visibility.
• Keeps backroom and inventory areas clean and organized. Notifies manager of any product breakage in an account.
• This list is not all inclusive of other tasks and subtasks that may be necessary in performing this role, but rather an overview of the role’s primary work tasks.

Here’s what you must have to be considered for this role:

• Current Valid Texas Driver License

Here’s what we hope you have:

• Previous Distribution Business Experience or Other Consumer Product Goods (CPG) Experience
• Previous Beer Industry Experience
• Advanced Communication Skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to pull/push a load up to 55 lbs.
• Requires heavy and repetitive lifting/placement of products up to 55 lbs.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday.
• Must tolerate working in an environment with inside/outside ambient/extreme temperatures.
• Must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments.
• Ability to operate facility equipment required for role.
• Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating via email, preparing reports and other forms of documentation using company and industry software.
• Ability to speak, hear, and see is required to communicate with employees, and to operate computers and office machinery.
• Hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation skills are necessary to operate computers and various facility machinery and equipment.
• Driving is required during the workday.Ability to perform job functions in compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices.
• Must be able to maintain a current/valid Texas driver’s license.
• Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
