As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you play a vital role in our mission to help people celebrate holidays, each other, and life's special moments by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place every day. We are seeking merchandisers to work independently across various retail locations, demonstrating organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory of our celebration products, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay is $12.60 per hour, with two increases during the first year of employment (subject to change based on location).
• Pay increases to $13.30 after 6 months and to $14.00 after 1 year of employment.

This route services the following locations at:

• 141 S Spring St
• 517 Dell St
• 315 Colonnade Blvd, State College, PA

The average weekly hours are 5, with potential increases around holidays.

Primary Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising, organizing product orders, displaying products, maintaining backroom areas, and inventory tasks.
• Communicate with management regarding service or schedule concerns.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment, managing time and organization effectively.
• Build relationships with store associates and management during daytime hours.
• Be available for additional days and extended hours during major holidays.
• Assist with store resets, fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as needed.
• Plan weekly service schedules using a company-issued tablet.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Experience and Qualifications

No experience necessary; training provided. Requirements include:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without accommodations.
• Reliable transportation for multiple retail locations.
• Reliable internet access for job updates.
• Technological competency to use company tablet.
• Availability for occasional weekends and holiday work.

Physical Demands
