Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Mesa, AZ is seeking a part-time Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution. You will manage truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, pricing, and visual standards to create a customer-ready store environment.

Collaborate with Store Manager, lead workload planning, and uphold SOPs while coaching team members. This role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and early mornings in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage SOPs and ensure policy compliance.
• Strong workload planning and inventory management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOP adherence and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards with team accountability.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting and flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for stock and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and compliant merchandising sets.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Support clean, organized store environment including backroom and floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, accuracy, integrity, and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and accurate order processing.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation.
• Manage store damages procedures to reduce shrink.
• Train and coach team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in Asset Protection practices to minimize shrink.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
