Wood Violet Recovery – part of Sunshine Behavioral Health – aims to be a beacon of hope for individuals on their journey to recovery.

Located in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, just 45 minutes from Madison, we are a voluntary, residential substance use treatment program dedicated to transforming lives. Serving clients ages 18-65, we are a privately owned facility driven by our mission to turn every addiction story into one of sustainable sobriety. We are looking for a Part-Time Mental Health Therapist to assess and monitor client behavior while in treatment for chemical and/or alcohol use and dependency.
You will provide crisis management, counseling, group therapies, and education for clients and family/significant others in therapeutic milieu setting.
You will document client behavior, group participation, and counseling.
You will care for clients and coordinate treatment and discharge planning.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide assessment and participate in treatment planning with clients and their families/significant others.
Interview clients to obtain information concerning social history, treatment, and other pertinent information.
Observe clients to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior.
Review results of tests given by psychologists to evaluate clients’ needs.
Change method and degree of therapy when indicated by client reactions/needs.
Discuss progress toward goals with clients.
Plan and administer therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and stress management therapy.
Complete and maintain individual and group counseling notes and documentation.
Develop and implement appropriate discharge planning with client and family.
Assist Clinical Director in the coordination of services for clients.
Initiate, facilitate and promote on-site activities, therapeutic support and educational groups, outings, and community meetings.
Provide education for clients and significant others.
Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required.
Record significant events involving client’s activities.
Respond to client complaints.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current, active mental health professional licensure in state of Wisconsin (LPC, LCSW, LMT, LMSW, Psychologist) with knowledge of addiction treatment.
1 year of experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders in a clinical setting, including knowledge of integrated treatment approaches and best practices.
Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.
Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
