Family & Children's Center in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Part-Time Mental Health Technician to support individuals with mental health needs. The role emphasizes empathy, safety, and client-centered care in collaboration with the Community Support Program.

You will deliver evening medications, conduct client check-ins, help with daily living skills, document observations, and participate in trainings and staff meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in behavioral health or customer service is preferred but not required—training will be provided.
• Able to pass background checks and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Build positive, supportive relationships to promote recovery and well‑being.
• Deliver evening medications and conduct client check-ins as needed (weekends/evenings/holidays).
• Collaborate with CSP on-call after hours and weekends/holidays to report concerns.
• Help clients develop independent living skills (cleaning, hygiene, cooking, shopping, money management) and provide transportation as needed.
• Maintain accurate notes and documentation per governing standards.
• Attend staffing meetings and complete annual training and development opportunities.
• Provide fill-in or flexible coverage as requested by CSP supervisor.
