Job summary

Rasmussen University is seeking dynamic Part-Time Adjunct instructors to teach within the Nursing program at our Overland Park campus. The role provides flexibility to continue field work while entering academia and shaping the next generation of nurses.

No prior teaching experience is required as training is provided, with teaching across lecture, lab, and clinical practicum. Compensation is hourly and based on course type and schedule, with benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Active RN licensure in good standing.
• 1 year clinical RN experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Official transcripts required for each degree earned from an accredited institution
• Active CPR certification or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Teach lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned; may be on campus or at off-site clinical partner locations.
• Use effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques; create an environment conducive to learning for a diverse student population.
• Engage students through activities, community building, and student-centered learning, including synchronous sessions.
