Job summary

Men’s Wearhouse in Fairfax, VA is seeking a part-time Retail Store Tailor–Alterations. You will assist customers, mark, alter, and press garments to ensure proper fit and a customized final product, while helping customers with sizing and alterations.

You’ll greet customers, respond to requests, keep the tailor shop organized, and collaborate with teammates to deliver a first-class shopping experience. Pay ranges from $19.42 to $25.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Formal training for tailoring preferred.
• Experience as a tailor for menswear highly preferred.
• Good technical skill.
• Sound knowledge of various types of sewing equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team attitude and enthusiasm.
• Proficiency in all basic and advanced alterations of men’s tailored clothing.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers; respond to special requests.
• Mark, alter and press garments to ensure proper fit.
• Answer customer questions and provide sizing guidance.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and organization; support management.
• Collaborate with team members and other store locations as needed.
