PositionSummary
The Part-Time Membership Coordinator supports the council’s recruitment, conversion, troop start up, and membership renewalgoalsbyengagingdirectlywithfamilies,schools, andcommunitypartners. Thisroleisresponsiblefor the end-to-end member placement process, ensuring prospective girls and adults are successfully converted and connected to troops or other Girl Scout experiences.
The Part-Time Membership Coordinator also acts as a front-line driver of new member acquisition, through successful executionofrecruitmentevents,followsupwithprospectivemembers,completesback-officeplacementand registration work, and delivers high-quality customer service throughout the joining experience. Working in close partnership with the broader membership team, this role ensures increased girl and adult participation within an assigned area, directly contributing to the achievement of membership growth targets.
EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities
- Manages and oversees the member pipeline for an assigned geographic area and guides potential membersthroughtheconversionprocessthroughphone,email,andvirtualmeetingcommunication methods.
- Generates,manages,andconvertsleadsthroughcommunityevents,schoolpresentations,tabling opportunities, digital referrals, and direct outreach to families and prospective volunteers.
- Supportstheexecutionofrecruitmenteventsandmembershipgrowthstrategiesthatareengaging, welcoming, reflectiveofGirl Scout programming, informative,andresultin successful girl andadult membership increases in designated areas.
- Supporttroopformationmeetingsandeventsbycoordinatinglogistics,communicatingwithinterested caregivers and volunteers, and assisting with onsite membership registration.
- Ensures smooth workflow and follow up in the coordination and placement of registered girls into appropriatetroops,coordinatestheassignmentoftroopnumbersandmanagestrooptransferswhen appropriate.
- Provide excellent customer service to community partners, families and volunteers during the membershipregistrationprocessandpromotetheGirlScoutbrandandmissionconsistentlyinall community interactions.
- Utilizesthevolunteersystemsdatabasetotrackandfollowthroughwithleads andprospectstoachieve thedesiredconversionrateandmeettheassignedgirlandadultmembershipgoals. Additionally,tracks recruitment activity, event outcomes, and membership data accurately in CRM/database systems.
- Assistsandprovidessupportforpotential,new, andexistingmembersonhowtoaccessandnavigate Girl Scout technology platforms.
- DevelopsandappliesahighlevelofunderstandingandawarenessofGSGCbusinessoperations, goals, priorities, and other relevant information to effectively navigate potential, new, and existing member inquiries and requests.
RecommendedSkills,Education,andExperience
- Associatedegreeorhigher,orrelevantworkexperience.
- 2+yearofpreviousexperienceincustomerservice,sales,programdelivery,communityengagement. or a related field.
- Comfort with public speaking and event facilitation, including confidently representing Girl Scouts in groupsettings,deliveringclearandengagingpresentationstofamiliesandcommunitypartners,and guiding conversations that lead to membership conversion.
- HighlyproficientinSalesforceCRM,Looker,andMicrosoftSuiteplatforms,includingTeams,Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Familiarity with Asana or similar project management software a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to membership data health, documentation, and processconsistency;strongorganizationalandtime-managementskillswiththeabilitytomanage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and virtual delivery; experience developing and implementingactionplanstomeet/exceeddeliverables;andexperienceworkingcollaborativelyto reach collective goals.
- Abilitytoworkaflexiblescheduleincludingfrequenteveningsandweekends.
- Travelthroughoutthecounciljurisdictionupto50%ofthetime.
- Capabilitytoprovideowntransportationandmaintainvalidoperatorlicense.
