Job summary

Twin Rivers is seeking a part-time Medication Technician to administer medications, provide compassionate care, and support residents in a welcoming community. The role includes coordinating wellness schedules, documenting care, and ensuring safety and compliance with health standards.

Qualifications include state medication aide certification or equivalent, English proficiency, and prior Assisted Living experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must maintain certification in the state where you work.
• State-required education/certificates/testing for medication aides and competency checklist.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Be in good physical health; lift up to 40 pounds.
• Drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers or assists with medications per physician orders and MAR.
• Documents medications on MAR; verify accuracy at shift end.
• Conduct shift reports with oncoming staff.
• Maintain medication cart security and narcotics counts.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, eating).
• Collaborate with peers; maintain professional demeanor with residents and families.
• Report suspected abuse to licensed staff immediately.
• Use safe transfer techniques; observe changes in residents’ condition and cognition.
• Assist with swallowing difficulties during meals.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and notify supervisor unless otherwise directed.
