Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field.
• Up to three years of acceptable clinical laboratory experience as a certified MLS/MT or equivalent.
• Current Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification through ASCP or equivalent certifying organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing on biological specimens.
• Accurately analyze, interpret, and report patient test results.
• Maintain quality control procedures and document results accurately.
• Monitor instrument performance and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and provide test information.
• Assist with training and education of students, new employees, coworkers, and non-laboratory personnel.
• Stay informed on departmental communications and meeting information.
