How You'll Make an Impact

DispatchHealth is actively hiring Medical Technicians to join our growing clinical team servicing the Ocala, FL area. We are looking for energetic, hard-working individuals with strong organizational and customer service skills to work directly with our Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants in our CLIA certified (mobile) laboratory. This individual will be involved in daily patient care while gaining valuable experience. Extensive on-the-job training will be provided for this exciting opportunity in mobile healthcare.

  • Flexible Shifts: 10-hour shifts (8:00am - 6:00pm or 12:00pm - 10:00pm)

Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds an EMT-B, AEMT, or CCMA certification.
  • BLS & CPR certified.
  • Ready to represent the company; a company vehicle will be provided for your use.
What You'll Do
  • Work under supervision of licensed NP/PA providers.
  • Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs.
  • Start IVs and perform blood draws (as permitted by state law).
  • Apply splints.
  • Provide wound care.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain point-of-care laboratory equipment.
  • Perform EKGs.
  • Assist NP/PAs in daily functions of a mobile care delivery unit.
  • Document all procedures accurately.
  • Manage supplies and stock inventory.
What You Need
  • Medical Technician with IV Certification.
  • Basic Certification with FL EMT License (hiring credential).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a core science or lab science with at least 2 years’ experience in chemistry and hematology, especially with an i-STAT device, encouraged to apply.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.; we cannot sponsor or take over employment visas.
