Qualifications

• Minimum education level of associate degree or equivalent in work experience and continuing education.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine, surgery, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical specialties.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; ability to understand diverse accents.

Responsibilities

• Scribe in real time in the exam room to provide enhanced interaction between patient and physician.
• Transcribes all medical notes and ensures confidentiality.
• Adheres to legal requirements for medical report style and confidentiality.
• Operates designated transcription equipment and related tools.
