Job description

Work as a Scribe for Envision Physician Service! Provide scribe services in an Emergency Department under the supervision of a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Provider or Physician Assistant). This role allows the provider to spend more time with patients, work more efficiently, and ensure accurate, real-time documentation. A scribe documents the provider's dictated or observed activities in the electronic medical record (EMR) without acting independently.

Additional Information

• Candidates must submit a resume detailing any clinical medical experience (paid or volunteer).
• Starting rate: $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include supporting emergency department providers by accurately documenting patient encounters and activities in the EMR, ensuring thorough and real-time record-keeping.

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic understanding of medical terminology and general medical knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent listening and note-taking skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in fast-paced, stressful environments.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Typing speed of 50 words per minute or higher, with accuracy.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or in progress.
• Undergraduate coursework in Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, or related fields is preferred.
• At least 100 hours of healthcare-related work, volunteer, or shadowing experience preferred.
• Experience in a patient care environment (e.g., EMT, scribe, clinical technician, medical assistant) is preferred.

Immunization & Testing Requirements :

• Documentation of health information, testing, and immunizations such as Tuberculosis, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, and Flu is required.
