Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed MLT by the WV Dept. of Health and Human Resources; obtain WV license within 90 days if not licensed.
• ASCP certification preferred or equivalent licensing board.
• Certification must be completed within 1 year if not previously obtained.
• 1 year lab experience preferred and familiarity with LIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests in hematology, urinalysis, and chemistry to aid diagnosis.
• Conduct daily quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Adhere to laboratory safety regulations and infection control procedures.
• Process and analyze samples accurately and timely; maintain productivity.
• Handle phlebotomy duties in a professional manner.
• Troubleshoot missing samples or requisitions; resolve issues promptly.
