Job summary

Centene Management Company LLC is seeking a Board-certified physician to direct and coordinate the physician component of utilization management for our health plan units in the United States. The ideal candidate resides in Indiana with an active MD or DO license and brings utilization management experience.

This role is approximately 20 hours per week, with Thursdays and Fridays being the highest priority.

Qualifications

• Must be a Board Certified physician.
• Active Indiana medical license without restrictions.
• Experience in utilization management in a managed care setting preferred.
• Experience with Medicare patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the physician component of utilization management activities.
• Perform case reviews and appeals for health plans.
• Provide medical leadership for quality improvement and utilization programs.
• Identify utilization trends and assess clinical practice variations to improve quality and cost.
