Job summary

Cornerstone Clinical Partners in Lexington, NC is seeking a part-time Medical Director/Attending Physician to lead clinical services across our skilled nursing facilities. You will oversee medical staff, ensure high-quality care, and drive best practices.

This role emphasizes autonomy, leadership, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Prior LTC leadership and CMD preferred; flexible, 1 day per week schedule.

Qualifications

• CMD certification is preferred.
• Extensive LTC/ skilled nursing facility experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory and quality improvement processes in LTC.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medical staff and maintain high standards of care.
• Lead interview and credentialing of new medical staff.
• Chair QAPI committee quarterly.
• Support DOH survey preparedness and regulatory compliance.
• Lead implementation of new clinical programs.
• Stay updated on geriatrics to evolve care offerings.
• Provide direct patient care as needed.
