Job summary

US Fertility, the nation’s leading network of physician-led fertility practices, seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to join RMA of New York in Eastside, Manhattan. The role offers up to 28 hours weekly, with shifts 6:45 AM to 6:30 PM and every other weekend, at $20–$24 per hour depending on experience.

You will perform phlebotomy, support patient care, and help maintain records and labs while growing within a respected organization.

Qualifications

• Strong phlebotomy skills required.
• High school diploma.
• Completion of a certified or formal medical training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions.
• Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations.
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs, EMR, and appropriate outside laboratory forms.
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels, ensure orders for lab work are in place.
• Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments.
• Prepare rooms for procedures, take vital signs, obtain patient height/weight, assist with procedures, and maintain rooms/equipment per guidelines.
• Maintain patient medical records through the use of electronic medical records.
