Job summary

Orchid Health in Blue River, Oregon is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care at our McKenzie River Clinic. The role is part-time, Monday–Thursday, 8am–Noon, with duties including greeting patients, documenting histories, taking vitals, and assisting providers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a primary care office.
• BLS certification is required.
• Compassion and professionalism in patient interactions is essential.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse and dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients with a warm, friendly attitude.
• Document accurate patient history per guidelines and update at follow-ups.
• Record vitals (weight, height, BP, pulse, etc.) and enter into EHR.
• Document medications and manage medication lists in the chart.
• Provide screening questionnaires as required by protocol.
• Assist with management/follow-up of Pain Medication Contracts.
• Process prescription refills under supervision and standing orders.
• Perform blood draws and process labs following protocols.
• Maintain infection control and waste management per regulations.
• Audit charts and maintain preventive health lists.
