Job summary

Aria Care Partners in Wichita, KS seeks a part-time Ophthalmic Technician to support physicians in multiple clinics within a 3-hour radius. You will help with eye exams, transport patients, and cover basic note transcription.

Mileage reimbursement, lodging for long-distance locations when needed, and paid drive time are provided. The role follows a Monday and every-other-Tuesday schedule with additional days possible based on clinic needs.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive to clinics within a 3-hour radius. Must have reliable transportation.
• Optometry/Ophthalmic technician experience preferred but not mandatory.
• 1+ years EMR documentation experience (medications, ICD-10, preliminary findings).
• Ability to transcribe basic medical notes into computer. Training on software provided.
• Escort elderly walking clients or transport clients in wheelchairs up to 200 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at the clinic before the doctor to set up at the facility.
• Transport patients to and from the exam area at the facility.
• Assist the doctor with vision pretesting, working with eyeglasses and scribing as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

The Position

• Arrive at the clinic before the doctor to setup at the facility.
• Transport patients to and from the exam area at the facility.
• Assist the doctor with vision pretesting, working with eyeglasses and scribing as needed.

Location

This position covers their home market which includes driving up to a 3-hour radius. For locations greater than 2.5 hours, the company offers overnight lodging and meals. Mileage reimbursement is included, as well as paid time for all driving that exceeds normal commute time.

This is a part-time role, working every Monday & every other Tuesday.
