Position Overview:

We are seeking talented, enthusiastic, and experienced part‑time (adjunct) Medical Assistant Instructors to teach in a blended learning environment.

This format combines in‑person instruction such as lectures, labs, and group work with online tools including discussion boards and learning management systems. It provides flexibility while maintaining strong face‑to‑face engagement.

This position reports to the Program Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in student retention efforts and support at‑risk students.
• Deliver lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction according to curriculum.
• Follow course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods.
• Maintain daily lesson plans.
• Monitor and document student attendance and retention.
• Grade assignments and submit final grades in a timely manner.
• Provide academic support during office hours or by appointment.
• Substitute for classes when needed.
• Advise students on academic performance and school policies.
• Communicate regularly with the Program Manager.
• Maintain classroom supplies and equipment inventory.
• Participate in faculty development activities.
• Attend required meetings and serve on committees as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies.
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Medical Assistant certification (CCMA required).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in a blended teaching environment preferred but not required.

Compensation:

• Pay per course: $1,250.
• Paid over a 5‑week class period.

Schedule:

• Evening shift.
• Monday through Thursday or Friday.
• 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant experience: 2 years required.
• CCMA certification required.
• Ability to relocate to Reno, NV 89521 before starting.
• Work location: in person.
