Job summary

MercyOne Davenport is hiring a Medical Assistant (MA) for the Davenport, IA location. This part-time role (per diem hours per week) supports the clinical practice by performing administrative and clinical tasks, assisting physicians, collecting vital signs, and documenting care.

The MA will coordinate patient flow, maintain accurate medical records, and strive to deliver a positive patient experience. Completion of an accredited MA program is required; certification/registration is preferred

Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.

Responsibilities

• Supports operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks.
• Assists physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow, maintains accurate medical records, and ensures a positive patient experience.
