Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate part-time Medical Assistant to support daily clinical operations in Spanish Fork, UT. Typical shifts include Day 9:00am–2:00pm or Evening 7:00pm–12:00am, with 3–4 days per week.

You will record vital signs, assist with medications, manage MAR entries, and support lab draws and TB testing while coordinating care with the treatment team. Prior clinical experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Active CMA, CCMA, or EMT certification required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Prior clinical experience preferred, but not required.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to reports of illness, pain, or medical emergencies and assess student needs.
• Determine when students require placement on sick bed due to illness or discomfort.
• Accompany students to medical appointments and communicate outcomes to parents and the Nurse Manager.
• Obtain and record vital signs and student weights as assigned.
• Accurately administer medications and document all activity in the MAR.
• Count, track, and document narcotics at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Observe and chart student mood, behavior, and affect, particularly when new medications are initiated.
• Coordinate and assist with laboratory draws and medical testing.
• Administer, read, and document Tuberculosis (TB) tests.
• Communicate relevant medical information to the treatment team and psychiatrist verbally and in writing.
• Perform additional clinical or administrative duties as assigned.
