Job summary

Midwest Physicians Administrative Services, LLC dba Duly Health and Care is hiring Medical Assistants to greet patients, take registrations, measure vital signs, and collect health histories. You will support physicians during exams, assist with minor procedures, and help with immunizations where certified.

Onsite labs (EKG, PFT, glucose, urine pregnancy tests) are performed. Role requires a medical assistant educational program completion or higher health sciences coursework, CPR certification,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active MA certifications (AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA) preferred or required by some specialties.
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified on hire.
• Phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire may be required.
• Prior experience as MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2+ years in a medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vital signs, and health history.
• Support physicians during examinations and minor office procedures.
• Assist with immunizations or injections where certified.
• Process prescriptions, pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, chart updates and filing.
• Perform onsite lab tests (EKG, PFT, glucose, urine pregnancy tests).
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms and deliver excellent customer service.
• Occasional travel to assist other local clinics.

Position Highlights

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required

• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following:American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
