Job summary

The Toledo Clinic, Inc. in Toledo, OH seeks a part-time Credentialed Medical Assistant for Internal Medicine. Hours are Mon, Tue and Thu 9:00–5:30 and Wed 9:30–2:00, about 3.5 days weekly. Benefits and a $2,000 sign-on bonus are offered.

Duties include answering phones, updating insurance, collecting co-pays, preparing exam rooms and charts, and other office tasks. Must have HS diploma or GED and be credentialed (RMA/CMA/CCMA or obtain within 60 days).

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) or able to obtain within 60 days.
• Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills are required.
• Punctual and professional appearance and conduct expected.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones courteously and professionally.
• Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
• Updating insurance information.
• Answering general patient questions.
• Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
• Collecting co-pays.
• Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets.
• Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
• Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
• Other duties as assigned.
