Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island seeks a part-time educator-librarian to support 21st-century literacy in a trauma-informed residential setting for girls aged 13–18 with complex needs.

You will curate digital and print resources, teach information literacy, and collaborate with staff to integrate technology into the curriculum while developing and monitoring IEPs in line with DOE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Teaching or Education is required.
• RI certification as Teacher of regular or special education is required.
• 3-5 years teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with children with behavioral/psychiatric challenges is preferred.
• Spanish Speaking or bilingual skills add compensation.

Responsibilities

• Curate, instruct, and manage digital and print resources in the media center.
• Teach information literacy and digital tools to students.
• Collaborate with staff to integrate technology into the curriculum.
• Develop and monitor student IEPs per DOE regulations.
• Support students with emotional/behavioral needs in a clinical residential setting.
