Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning: disassembling and cleaning meat cutting equipment, grinders, slicers, scales, and other meat department tools.
• Surface sanitation: cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces including meat cases, cutting boards, worktables, coolers, and shelving.
• Floor maintenance: sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors in the meat department.
• Waste disposal: properly disposing of meat scraps and packaging materials.
• Temperature monitoring: maintaining proper temperature logs for coolers and freezers.
• Chemical handling: following safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals.
• Compliance with regulations: adhering to local health department sanitation standards and company guidelines.
