Job summary

Walt Churchill’s Market is seeking a Part-Time Meat Clerk for our Perrysburg, OH location. The ideal candidate will greet customers, assist with product selection, and provide friendly service at the Meat counter, on the sales floor, and over the phone.

Responsibilities include weighing, packaging, dating, and inventory rotation, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards. Experience in meat handling is a plus; ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school education required and 18+ years old.
• Attention to detail in weighing, pricing and stocking products.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with product selection at the Meat counter.
• Package, weigh, wrap, price, and merchandise Meat Department products.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety standards according to store policy.
• Operate equipment such as knives, slicers and vacuum packer safely.
• Assist in training entry-level Meat department staff.
• Prepare special orders and production tasks as needed.
• Rotate stock and manage dating to ensure freshness.
• Stock, rotate and merchandise in cooler and sales floor areas.
