Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Lake County seeks a part-time Delivery Driver for the Nutrition and Food Services Program to ensure timely, safe delivery of meals to Club sites and partner schools. You will maintain food safety during transport and complete required documentation while representing BGCLC professionally.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior delivery experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to pass background and driving check.
• Experience in food delivery, courier services, or transportation preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and temperature-controlled delivery standards is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and navigate stairs or ramps.

Responsibilities

• Load meals into temperature-controlled vehicles in accordance with food safety standards.
• Deliver meals on schedule to designated sites with minimal disruption to programs.
• Perform pre- and post-transport temperature checks, logging data according to CACFP and BGCLC requirements.
• Keep accurate delivery logs, temperature records, and proof of delivery documentation.
• Obtain required signatures or confirmations from site personnel and communicate delays or route changes promptly.
