Columbus Technical College is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor to teach mathematics on campus, with day and evening classes. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing student progress, advising students, and supporting recruitment and program development.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s Degree in mathematics (or a Master’s with 18 graduate hours in math) and demonstrate strong classroom management, communication, and instructional skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in mathematics from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Master’s Degree with a concentration of at least 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 graduate quarter hours) in mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and conducts classes using a variety of learning experiences and activities.
• Ensures adherence to safety requirements in classrooms by following procedures.
• Evaluate students' progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Develops course outlines, goals, and objectives in line with state standards.
• Maintains syllabi, lesson plans, tests, and other course materials.
• Communicates students' progress to students and relevant staff.
• Keeps accurate records and submits documentation timely.
• Remains current with subject knowledge and pedagogy through professional development.
