Job summary

Broward College invites applications for a part-time teaching position in mathematics. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics, or a Master’s degree in any other field with 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics.

A PhD is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate mastery of their discipline, use engaging teaching methods, and commit to student success.

Qualifications

• Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
• High level of computer literacy and a commitment to teaching.
• Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mastery of their discipline and a commitment to student success.
• Employ engaging teaching methods and technology across modalities.
• Facilitate diverse learners with responsive pedagogy and practices.
• Be willing to adapt instructional practices to better engage and support students.
• Engage in course preparation, syllabi development, and office hours.
• Provide timely feedback to students and respond to emails.
• Meet reporting deadlines (grading, enrollment verification, syllabi, etc.).
• Participate in service to the college and community.
