Job summary

Mathnasium of Bethesda in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a part-time Math Instructor/Tutor to deliver math instruction to students using the Mathnasium Method. You will help students understand, master, and love math in a fun, engaging environment, with after-school and weekend hours.

Candidates should demonstrate math ability through Algebra I, have strong interpersonal skills, and be eager to learn. Training is provided, and you’ll work with a supportive team, attend staff meetings periodically, and

Qualifications

• Demonstrate math ability at least through Algebra I.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with students and parents.
• Must be eager to learn and train with ongoing coaching.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple students/topics.
• Maintain a professional and positive demeanor with families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mathematical instruction using the Mathnasium Method.
• Maintain good availability and communicate accurately about availability.
• Continuously strive to improve as an instructor.
• Attend staff meetings approximately every 4–6 weeks.
• Teach students in a way that makes sense to them and provide constructive feedback.
• Support center administration and assist with daily center tasks.
